An environmentalist and anti-capitalist writing fiction about climate change as inheritance in a classic Gothic setting.
I have been an environmentalist and anti-capitalist my whole life. I have marched and blockaded, I've written letters and signed petitions to try and convince political power to put the environment front and centre of policy making. I was part of Reclaim The Street, Climate Camps, and have campaigned for the Green Party in Oxford. I have a BA in politics and an MA in human rights.
Recently, I have been writing fiction about climate change as inheritance and how our arrogant short-termism can't go on, in a classic Gothic setting. I have written stories as long as I can remember but this is the first time I've tried to be published. I hope that I can contribute to public discourse on climate change and why we need to act now.
