A writer, editor, performer, project-maker and researcher exploring ways of bringing together traditional story forms and science communication with a focus on ecological wonder tales.
I’m a writer, editor, performer, project-maker and researcher.
My PhD research at Lancaster University focuses on materials, methods and technologies for making ecological wonder tales. I'm exploring ways of bringing together traditional story forms and science communication.
My short stories are widely published and I’m writer-in-residence for Ensemble, an EPSRC-funded project at Lancaster University investigating the role of digital technologies in understanding, mitigating and adapting to environmental change.
I run workshops and activities, give talks and create projects that explore wonder and seek out the hidden extraordinary in the places we live. I work with children, families and adults of all ages in a wide variety of community and educational settings, encouraging them to make and share stories.
