A researcher in cognitive ecolinguistics and emotional intelligence exploring how language shapes our relationships with nature, and who translates marine metaphors into conceptual sketches and drawings.
I am a researcher in cognitive ecolinguistics and emotional intelligence, exploring how language shapes our relationships with nature. Based at Université Paris 8 in the TransCrit research unit (France), I investigate positive, nature-based discourses that foster caring and harmonious human–environment connections.
My work bridges linguistics, art, and wellbeing: after writing data-driven papers on topics like the ocean and psychological health, I translate marine metaphors into conceptual sketches and drawings. I also teach English for Specific Purposes (ESP) with a focus on nature-based digital learning, and translate texts on art and nature.
I am passionate about the Blue Humanities, psychological wellbeing, and the role of language in constructing ecological realities. I believe that appreciative, gentle discourses can help us reimagine our place within living systems — and that small, creative acts (like drawing a metaphor) can open new ways of seeing.
When I'm not writing or drawing, you'll find me planning cherry blossom walks in spring, collecting seashells, or reading cozy nature books about flowers and our feline friends.
