Wanda Zyborska

My name is Wanda. We are a carbon-based entity composed of bacteria, water and minerals who identify as eco-feminist crone, pronouns she/them. We are an artist, mainly doing sculpture and performance, although lately doing socially engaged art, currently Utopias Bach.

I live in a suburban bungalow in Porthaethwy, Ynys Môn, above the bridge to the UK mainland. Just over the bridge is my studio, in a decaying industrial unit next to two botanical gardens; Treborth, belonging to the University of Bangor, and the smallest botanical garden in the world, squeezed into the space between the studio, a day care nursery for children and the Holyhead/London railway line.

I am an eco-feminist artist who has been researching re-inventing and becoming old woman and artist in the anthroposcene for 15 years. This was my PhD topic. I am a founder member of Utopias Bach and the founder and creative director of Crone Cast.
