Search our members

ClimateCultures is a network of over 250 artists, curators & researchers in many countries. Our Directory showcases the diversity of interests, practices & works bringing creative responses to our ecological and climate crises. You can search for individual members below.

NEW on our Blog

Our blog features the latest original content from our network of members – with an archive of posts back to 2017.

  • In Cockroach Cabaret — Learning to Make Friends With Arthropods, composer and performer Camilla Cancantata considers the nonhuman voice. Scrutinising human actions, her alter ego questions the role of humanity on planet Earth, asking if we can pull ourselves back from the brink of apocalypse.

NEW in our Creative Showcase

Our Creative Showcase is an evolving collection of new and recent works from our members. Our latest contribution:

  • In And So I Watch You From Afar, photographic artist and researcher Aindreas Scholz discusses his photographic installation, where cyanotype is both image and material event. The work is part of ongoing research into photography’s material footprint, reconsidering it not only as technique, but as a process that registers the environmental conditions in which an image is made.

LATEST in our LONGER feature

Longer features members’ works that offer a deeper exploration of a topic than is possible with our blog posts.

  • In Telling Stories About Climate Change, writer David Guenette suggests that, too often, ‘climate fiction’ fails to bridge the planetary-scale climate crisis with human-scale everyday life. Climate fiction should focus on human stories that connect readers directly to our present challenges: more stories we can identify with may relieve suppressive social silence on climate change. See his accompanying blog post, The Steep Climes Quartet: My Take on Climate Fiction, above.

LATEST In Our Museum of the Anthropocene

See our five 2026 student contributions to our online Museum of the Anthropocene. The museum shares content from a project that geographer Martin Mahony is running with third-year students on the University of East Anglia’s Geography and Environmental Sciences course. “From world-changing technologies to humble consumer goods, and from family heirlooms to priceless works of art, each year the Museum is stocked with objects which tell stories of both personal and planetary significance.” Martin introduces the 2026 cohort in his ClimateCultures blog post, The Age of Irony. And see our ‘curator conversation’ between Martin and GroundWork Gallery’s Veronica Sekules.

ClimateCultures partners in a new book exploring energy & creativity

ClimateCultures is excited to be a partner in the development of a new publication from art.earth Books with Regen and The Art and Energy Collective: ‘On a day like today we just need to look forward…’ You can now see the preliminary Table of Contents.
