Environmental Keywords – interdisciplinary conversations

ClimateCultures is working with the University of Bristol’s Centre for Environmental Humanities on a short project to explore interdisciplinary meanings of some keywords in our climate and biodiversity crisis. Our online materials complement recent workshops for researchers, community groups and creative practitioners. See our project pages for five blog posts in the series and three pages of more than 25 creative contributions from our members – including an original response to ‘Environmental Resilience‘ from poet and artist Jennifer Leach. New Members

Lauren Downton – a contemporary artist who investigates the ephemeral nature of life through nature-based metaphors and considers humanity’s relationship with the natural world, and notions of the ‘ruin’.
Amy Harff – An artist, teacher, environmentalist and researcher exploring how art can inspire us to change in ways that climate science has not yet been able to.
Rod Raglin – a journalist, publisher of an online community newspaper, photographer and writer of novels, plays and short stories that address the human condition and serious environmental issues
Katrin Spranger – a visual artist working on the intersection of sculpture, jewellery, and performance, exploring dystopian narratives that engage with environmental issues including the depletion of natural resources.
